As stated, after its launch in the Thai market, the new Ford Everest Platinum will be introduced in Vietnam. The sales consultants at the Vietnamese dealership have already started accepting deposits for this model.
According to information from the sales consultants at the dealership, the Ford Everest Platinum will be unveiled in Vietnam in March 2024. When it arrives in Vietnam, the Ford Everest Platinum will replace the Wildtrak version and is expected to have a price of up to 1.7 billion VND.
If the above price is accurate, the Ford Everest Platinum will be about 200 million VND more expensive than the Wildtrak version (1.499 billion VND). At the same time, the Ford Everest Platinum will become the most expensive D-segment SUV in the Vietnamese market.
What many people are concerned about is whether the Ford Everest Platinum in Vietnam will be equipped with the V6 diesel engine like the ones in the Australian and Thai markets. This is a turbocharged engine with a displacement of 3.0L, producing a maximum power of 250 horsepower at 3,250 RPM and a peak torque of 600 Nm at a range of 1,750 – 2,250 RPM. The engine is combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.
According to some sources, the Ford Everest Platinum in Vietnam will not have the aforementioned V6 engine. Instead, the vehicle will continue to use the 4-cylinder, twin-turbocharged 2.0L diesel engine, like the Everest Titanium+ and Ranger Wildtrak models. This engine is also paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.
