In mid of last year, Mercedes-Benz Vietnam announced that it will introduce a range of new models in 2023, among which there is a highly anticipated name, the Mercedes-AMG SL63, one of the top sports convertible cars in the brand’s lineup.
However, due to some objective reasons, the Mercedes-AMG SL63 2023 missed its appointment with Vietnamese customers last year, and recent information confirms that this sports convertible car will be introduced to the local market this year.
The Mercedes-AMG SL63 will be the most expensive Mercedes-AMG car sold officially in the Vietnamese market, with a listed price of VND 12.29 billion.
The Mercedes-AMG SL63, which will be officially distributed by the company, belongs to the 7th generation, coded R232, produced from 2022 until now. Compared to the previous high-performance sports cars Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG, this generation comes with a soft top instead of a hardtop, which some car enthusiasts believe it loses the personality in terms of the car’s appearance.
Entering a completely new generation, the Mercedes-AMG SL63 has undergone significant changes in the front of the car, with a new radiator grille, beautiful headlights, and a redesigned front bumper. The side of the car features new wheels, and at the rear, there are LED taillights or dual exhaust pipes as highlights.
The most interesting part of the Mercedes-AMG SL63 sports convertible car will be under the hood, where car enthusiasts will find a V8 engine with a capacity of 4.0 liters, turbocharged, producing a maximum power of 577 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm.
The power of the engine is transmitted through a 9-speed automatic transmission, 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system, and rear-wheel steering system as standard equipment. Thanks to that, the Mercedes-AMG SL63 only takes 3.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h.
