At the end of the first month of the new year 2024, the top 10 best-selling cars in the month saw many changes. This is also the first month after the 50% reduction in registration fees for domestically assembled cars expired.

Below is a list of the top 10 best-selling car models in January 2024 in Vietnam:

Mitsubishi Xpander: 1,285 units

Mitsubishi Xpander recorded sales of 1,285 units in Vietnam in the pre-Tet month, a 50% decrease compared to the previous month. However, Mitsubishi Xpander still remains the best-selling car model in the market for the past month.

Currently, Mitsubishi Xpander is being distributed in Vietnam with 4 versions including MT, AT, AT Premium and Xpander Cross, with prices ranging from 560 – 698 million VND.

Ford Ranger: 1,143 units

Ranking 2nd in the top 10 best-selling cars of the month is the Ford Ranger with sales of 1,143 units, a decrease of 769 units compared to December 2023.

Currently, Ranger continues to dominate the market share in the pickup segment in our country. It is also the only pickup truck model that has consistently made it to the Top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam each month.

Ford Ranger is currently locally assembled with 8 versions, with prices ranging from 665 – 979 million VND.

Hyundai Accent: 915 units

Ranking 3rd in the rankings is Hyundai’s “golden egg-laying hen” sedan model – Accent. In January 2024, Hyundai sold a total of 915 Accent sedans, a decrease of over 1,800 units compared to the previous month.

Currently, Hyundai Accent is being distributed with 4 versions, with prices ranging from 426 – 542 million VND.

Mazda CX-5: 807 units

At the end of January 2024, Mazda CX-5 sold 807 units, a decrease of 1,243 units compared to the previous month. This result helped Mazda’s midsize CUV secure 4th place in the monthly best-selling car rankings.

Currently, the car is being distributed with 7 versions, with prices ranging from 759 – 999 million VND.

Honda HR-V: 801 units

Ranking 5th in the top 10 best-selling cars in January 2024 is the Honda HR-V with sales of 801 units, an increase of 109 units compared to December 2023. This is a rare appearance of the Honda HR-V in the monthly best-selling car rankings.

Currently, Honda HR-V is being sold with 3 versions: G, L, and RS, with prices ranging from 699 – 871 million VND.

Ford Everest: 785 units

At the end of January 2024, Ford Everest recorded sales of 785 units, a decrease of nearly 700 units compared to December 2023, ranking 6th in the rankings.

Currently, Ford Everest is being sold in Vietnam with 5 versions, with prices ranging from 1,099 – 1,499 billion VND.

Kia Sonet: 710 units

The small-sized Kia model continues to maintain its position by ranking 7th in the monthly best-selling car rankings with sales of 710 units, a decrease of 644 units compared to the previous month.

Currently, the car is locally assembled with 4 versions, with prices ranging from 519 – 579 million VND.

Toyota Vios: 653 units

In January 2024, Toyota Vios experienced a significant drop in sales, with only 653 units sold, a decrease of 2,369 units compared to the previous month. This result caused Vios to drop to 8th place in the top 10 best-selling cars.

Currently, Toyota Vios 2023 is being distributed with 3 versions, with prices as follows: E MT: 479 million VND, E CVT: 528 million VND, and G CVT: 592 million VND.

Kia Seltos: 524 units

At the end of January 2024, Kia Seltos recorded sales of only 524 units, a decrease of 751 units compared to the previous month.

Currently, Kia Seltos is locally assembled with 3 versions, with prices ranging from 599 – 699 million VND.

Honda City: 482 units

Ranking 10th in the top 10 best-selling cars in January is the Honda City with sales of 482 units, a decrease of over 1,000 units compared to December 2023.

Currently, Honda City is being sold in Vietnam with 4 versions: E, G, L, and RS, with prices ranging from 499 – 609 million VND.
