Previously, this rare license plate was attached to a 2019 Honda Civic RS.

According to regulations, as of August 15, 2023, people can not only own a nice license plate through auction but also register their own license plate. Therefore, owners of special license plates can sell their cars, register the license plate, and have it registered for their newly purchased car.

The case of the Honda Civic Type R owner in Binh Thuan is a typical example. Specifically, after 4 years of driving with the 2019 Honda Civic RS with license plate 86A-111.11, Mr. Lan (living in Binh Thuan) decided to buy a new Civic Type R. It is known that he accidentally pressed the VIP license plate when he bought the car.

Unlike many rumors about selling the Civic RS, Mr. Lan decided to leave the old car to his wife and keep this special license plate for himself. And now, the license plate 86A-111.11 has been transferred to the new Honda Civic Type R he just bought.

In the Vietnamese market, Honda Civic Type R is only distributed with 18 units, and all of them already have owners. This “street racing” car has a starting price of 2.4 billion VND.

Mr. Lan’s newly purchased Honda Civic Type R has a Championship White exterior color, which is one of the 5 basic colors of the high-performance Honda Civic. The remaining colors are Rallye Red, Racing Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, and Sonic Grey Pearl.

Compared to the standard version, the Civic Type R has a more sporty appearance thanks to the large black grille, LED headlights, air vents, aerodynamic side skirts. The car is equipped with 19-inch dual-spoke wheels, painted in matte black, and red brake calipers from the Brembo brand.

At the rear, it is equipped with a large wing accompanied by three exhaust pipes placed in the middle of the rear diffuser. Other standout details include the red Honda logo, Type R logo installed in various positions such as the grille, rear end…

Powering the Honda Civic Type R 2023 is a turbocharged VTEC 4-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 2.0L, producing a maximum power of 315 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 420 Nm at a range of 2,600 – 4,000 rpm.

The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing the car to reach a top speed of 272 km/h. The high-performance version of the Honda Civic has 4 driving modes, including Comfort, Sport, Individual, and +R.

This high-performance hatchback is equipped with the Honda Sensing safety technology package, which includes functions such as: Forward collision warning, Lane departure warning, Automatic emergency braking, Lane keeping assist, Blind spot monitoring, and Adaptive cruise control.
