Hyundai Creta is a popular B-segment SUV in the Indian market. In February 2024, the Korean model achieved an important milestone with 1 million units sold in this populous market. Hyundai Creta reached this milestone after 101 months or 8 years and 5 months in the Indian market. In addition, Hyundai exported a total of 282,542 Creta units manufactured in India to foreign countries, as of December 2023.
According to Hyundai, in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, Hyundai Creta achieved an average sales figure of 13,103 units per month, equivalent to 436 units per day. In other words, there is one Hyundai Creta sold in India every 5 minutes.
The success of Creta has helped the Hyundai brand sell a total of 319,122 multi-purpose vehicles to Indian customers from April 2023 to January 2024, ranking third in the overall market, behind the joint venture Maruti Suzuki (522,626 vehicles) and Mahindra & Mahindra (376,832 vehicles). Out of the 131,039 multi-purpose vehicles sold by Hyundai in India, Creta accounted for 41.54%, followed by Venue with 110,348 units, accounting for 35%.
In January 2024, the mid-life facelift version of this B-segment SUV was officially launched in the Indian market and immediately achieved success. According to Hyundai, in just 1 month after its launch, Creta received over 60,000 bookings from Indian customers. This has caused the delivery time of the 2024 Hyundai Creta in India to be extended to 7 months.

Unlike the version sold in Vietnam, the 2024 Hyundai Creta for India is equipped with a large rectangular grille and a central air vent, a two-tier headlight system with a horizontal LED daytime running light strip in the shape of an “L” located across the front of the car, vertically placed headlights, and 18-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone design and 2-color scratch machining. Additionally, the rear taillights have an “L” shape inside and extend across the tailgate, while the front/rear bumper comes with a silver trim that looks more robust.

Inside the car, this B-segment SUV is equipped with a new curved screen, integrated digital instrument cluster, and 10.25-inch central touch screen. In addition, it features a 2-zone automatic air conditioning system with new air vents and adjustable via the touch screen. Other notable features of this model include power-adjustable driver’s seat, air filtration system, electronic parking brake, Bose audio system, 2-step adjustable backrest, and rear seats with pillows, sun shades, USB Type C ports.

Another highlight of the 2024 Hyundai Creta for India is its safety features. The car is equipped with ADAS active safety system with 19 features such as emergency automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assist. In addition, it features a 360-degree camera, 6 airbags, blind spot warning system, tire pressure monitoring, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, and electronic stability control.
Under the hood of the 2024 Hyundai Creta for India are 3 engine options. Among them, there is a new engine shared with the Hyundai Accent, which is a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine, producing a maximum power of 160 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

These two engines will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed automatic transmission, or a IVT continuously variable transmission.
In the Indian market, the 2024 Hyundai Creta is available in 7 variants with prices ranging from 1.1 – 2 million Rupees (approximately 326 – 594 million dong).
