According to speculations, Hyundai is expected to unveil its IONIQ 7 electric SUV in June this year, at the Busan Auto Show.

Prior to this, in 2021, Hyundai had introduced the SEVEN Concept at the LA Auto Show. This is considered a preview of the IONIQ 7 electric SUV with a futuristic cabin design.

The SEVEN Concept features a modern and sleek exterior, continuing the design language of the Hyundai 45 concept introduced in 2019.

The front of the car stands out with a slim LED strip that stretches across the width of the grille and vertically aligned fog lights on both sides of the faux radiator grille. The rear of the car has a transparent partition, illuminating Hyundai’s logo, and an extended LED taillight similar to the design at the front.

The SEVEN Concept is developed on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), similar to the IONIQ 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60. Therefore, the SEVEN Concept also has an 800V electric drivetrain with fast charging capability of 350 kW. According to Hyundai, the SEVEN Concept can charge from 10-80% in 10 minutes and has a maximum range of 300 miles (~483 km).

With a wheelbase length of 3,200mm and a pillar-less design with opposing doors, the SEVEN Concept offers a spacious and comfortable interior. Instead of conventional seats, the cabin is equipped with a long bench seat and swivel seats inspired by apartment interiors, providing experiences similar to a business class waiting lounge.

According to the plan, the IONIQ 7 will be produced at the Asan Plant in South Korea starting from July 2024. From the following year, this model will also be produced at a new facility in Georgia, USA.
