Recently, a car dealership in Ho Chi Minh City shared images of the handover process of a Nissan 350Z to the home of Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu. This is the first car that the coffee industry businessman has acquired in 2024, even though not long ago he just bought another rare convertible sports car.
According to Autodaily’s research, this sports car is at least 15 years old. The car was previously listed for sale in early February for nearly 1 billion VND. The exact model year is unclear, but based on its appearance, this Nissan 350Z belongs to the Z33 generation, produced by the Japanese automaker between 2002 and 2008. The car was first registered in Vietnam in 2011.
The 350Z is a 2-door sports car that competes with rivals such as the BMW Z4, Audi TT, Toyota FT-86, and Subaru BRZ. Compared to its competitors, the 350Z is less popular and the majority of buyers modify it to reflect their personal style or use it for drifting in racing tracks. Therefore, it is very rare to find a Nissan 350Z for sale in the used car market.
The “coffee tycoon” purchased this car with a gray exterior, featuring several modified details. The extended rear bumper is equipped with air vents and a large-sized spoiler on top. The side panels have been replaced with new trim pieces to enhance the muscular look. The lighting system has also been upgraded to a unique red bi-xenon type.
The car is also equipped with 5-spoke white single-tone wheels, measuring 19 inches, which represent the characteristic style of JDM cars. The interior stands out with its copper-colored Brembo brake calipers.
The interior of the Nissan 350Z shows signs of aging in various details, but small elements such as physical buttons still maintain a certain level of freshness. The sport seats, wrapped in leather, have some wrinkles, but still provide good support. This indicates that the previous owner took regular care of and maintained the car well.
The Nissan 350Z is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine, producing a maximum power of 306 horsepower and 363 Nm of torque. It is coupled with a rear-wheel drive system and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Japanese automaker also offered a 6-speed manual transmission as an option. The car can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.
As of now, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu possesses the most valuable and largest collection of cars in Vietnam. It is estimated that the value of his car collection exceeds 1,000 billion VND, with many supercars worth tens of billions of VND, such as 2 Ford GTs (over 120 billion VND), Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren Senna, Bugatti Veyron, and Audi R8 Performance, among others.
