The story of millionaire Hoang Kim Khanh sending the blockbuster Koenigsegg Regera to Sweden for repairs has caused a stir among netizens in Vietnam as well as ASEAN countries. It is a rare case where a car owner sends a supercar back to the headquarters for repair, showing that the car is so damaged that local mechanics are helpless.

And recently, billionaire Hai Duong has once again surprised netizens by sharing the repair bill for his megacar Koenigsegg Regera, which includes all other costs amounting to 9 billion Vietnamese dong. However, this bill is only for repairs, while the transportation of the Koenigsegg Regera supercar back to its owner is another matter.

Not wanting netizens to be curious for too long, recently, car enthusiast Hoang Kim Khanh shared the process of transporting the million-dollar Koenigsegg Regera supercar from Sweden to Cambodia, which cost him approximately 22,150 euros, equivalent to 563 million dong. This amount is equivalent to or higher than the listed price of B-segment sedan cars.

It can be seen that buying a million-dollar Koenigsegg Regera supercar is not a simple task, as Mr. Khanh had to ask a friend to buy it at a US dealership. The cost of owning this megacar is also not cheap, and taking care of it is another headache if it becomes sick, as in this case.

The above-mentioned cost does not include the airfare for Mr. and Mrs. Hoang Kim Khanh to fly to Sweden, as well as another fee for processing the car from Cambodia to the Vietnamese border, to the garage of this District 12 billionaire.

If you ask why Cambodia instead of Vietnam, it would save costs at the border, and the time would be longer because this million-dollar Koenigsegg Regera supercar was imported by Hoang Kim Khanh to save taxes as well as some procedures. Importantly, this billionaire can choose a license plate with his own name.

The Koenigsegg Regera supercar is equipped with a hybrid powertrain including a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine, biturbo, combined with 3 electric motors. The total power output of the Koenigsegg Regera supercar is 1,500 horsepower, and the maximum torque of the Koenigsegg Regera is 2,000 Nm.

The Koenigsegg Regera does not have a gearbox, instead, the Swedish supercar manufacturer will use a Direct Drive transmission for its Regera to help the car accelerate from a standing position to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 400 km/h.

Regarding the Koenigsegg Regera supercar of billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh, the US dealer once priced it at 2.9 million dollars, equivalent to 68 billion dong. Meanwhile, the revelation from this billionaire’s wife and husband is that they had to spend 200 billion dong to own the car. Therefore, the fee to be paid to Cambodia could amount to more than 130 billion dong. Of course, the amount of tax paid may be much less if the selling price of the car is not up to 200 billion dong. This Koenigsegg Regera is in carbon red and is one of 80 cars manufactured worldwide.
