In early February of this year, Toyota officially introduced the upgraded version of the Corolla Cross in the Thai market. After this market, Toyota’s B+ SUV will continue to be launched in other markets such as Vietnam.
Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 unveiled in Thailand
Toyota dealerships in Vietnam have started accepting deposits for the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross. According to a sales consultant at the dealership, this car is expected to be launched in the Vietnamese market in May 2024.
The sales consultant at the dealership also revealed that the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross for the Vietnamese market will not include the standard G version, only the V and HV versions will be available. This change will result in a higher starting price for Toyota’s B+ SUV, as well as create a clearer distinction from its sibling, the Yaris Cross. The current price range for the Toyota Corolla Cross is from 760 to 955 million VND.
The 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross for Vietnam is expected to adopt similar design and equipment changes as the Thai version. In the new version, this car is equipped with new LED headlights with a new crystal design. The headlight cluster is divided into two layers, separated by a LED daytime running light strip. The upper layer is a sequential turn signal light, while the lower layer is the main headlight cluster.

Next is the new honeycomb grille with body-colored honeycombs. This grille features a frameless design, reminiscent of Lexus models like the new generation RX.
In addition, the car also features vertical air vents located at the front corners and between the new headlights. Alongside these changes are the new 18-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone, 2-color machined face. The remaining changes to the exterior of the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross can be seen in the redesigned taillight cluster.

Not only the exterior, but the interior of this car is also improved with some notable new features, such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, it also comes with USB Type C ports and a new electric parking brake.

In the higher-end versions, the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross will also feature a panoramic frameless sunroof with electric sunshades, wireless phone charging, front/rear dashcams, LED interior lights, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The safety features of this car have also been upgraded with 4 forward and 4 rear parking sensors. The car is also equipped with a collision warning system when parking with automatic brake support and a 360-degree camera.
Unfortunately, there are no new changes to the car’s engine. It still offers 2 engine options, the first being a 1.8L 4-cylinder petrol engine for the standard version. Meanwhile, the other versions will feature a hybrid powertrain with a 1.8L petrol engine and an electric motor.

The price of the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross in Vietnam has not been announced yet. Prior to the launch of the new version, the old-generation Toyota Corolla Cross has been sold out at many dealerships. This is perhaps one of the reasons why this model has had relatively low sales in January 2024, with only 171 units sold.
