The Audi Q8 e-tron is expected to have a price of around 3.8 billion VND and will be launched in Vietnam in May to compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQS.

Recently, some dealers in Vietnam have announced that they are accepting deposits for the Audi Q8 e-tron electric car. Sales consultants have stated that the car will be distributed in one version, with an estimated price of around 3.8 billion VND, and will be launched in May.

Information about the Q8 e-tron’s launch in Vietnam has also been confirmed by representatives from Audi Vietnam. Specifically, at the Singapore Auto Show in April 2023, Trần Tấn Trung, the General Director of Audi Vietnam, hinted that the Q8 e-tron will be brought to the country around the end of 2023 or early 2024.

The Audi Q8 e-tron is the most luxurious SUV in the brand’s electric product lineup, which is known for its four-ring logo. The dimensions of the car are 4,915 x 1,935 x 1,633 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,923 mm.

As an upgraded version of the e-tron, the Q8 e-tron retains many design elements from its predecessor, with only slight adjustments to make it more suitable and modern. The front of the car is impressive with a honeycomb-patterned grille that can open/close automatically to optimize airflow. Overall, the exterior of the Audi Q8 e-tron still resembles a gasoline-powered car rather than an electric vehicle.

This SUV model is equipped with LED matrix headlights combined with horizontal LED daytime running lights and small sleek stripes inside the headlight cluster. At the rear, the Audi Q8 e-tron features horizontally placed LED taillights connected by an extended LED strip that runs across the rear trunk.

The interior of the Audi Q8 e-tron has a layout similar to the brand’s gasoline-powered models. The car is equipped with a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel, two large screens in the center console area measuring 10.1 inches and 8.6 inches, a heads-up display (HUD), Bang & Olufsen 16-speaker sound system, 4-zone automatic air conditioning, and a panoramic sunroof.

In Vietnam, the Audi Q8 e-tron is equipped with an electric motor that produces 402 horsepower and 664 Nm of torque, combined with the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. According to the official announcement, this version has a maximum range of 600 km after each full charge.

Upon its launch, the Audi Q8 e-tron will directly compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. The electric car from Mercedes has a price of nearly 4 billion VND, slightly higher than the expected price of its Vietnamese counterpart.
