According to data collected from carVertical (UK) from 2020 to February 2024, cars involved in traffic accidents often have a yellow exterior.

The data shows that 22.7% of yellow cars have been in accidents. This is also the highest percentage among all other paint colors. Red cars have the second highest accident rate at 18.8%, followed by black cars at 18.4%.

In contrast, brown cars have a lower accident rate at 13.9% and blue cars at 15.6%; gray cars are at 15.8%.

It can be seen that people who own cars with eye-catching colors such as yellow, blue, red, etc., often have strong personalities and want to stand out from the crowd. Therefore, their driving style may also be more aggressive and daring, leading to a higher likelihood of accidents.

On the other hand, these colors are often found on high-speed sports car models. This is a segment of cars that are more prone to collisions compared to ordinary cars.

However, these numbers do not reflect anything and although the color of the car is an important factor, the most important thing is still the driving ability and technical condition of the car.
