Sales staff said the upgraded version of the Corolla Cross 2024 is expected to be imported from Thailand. The car will arrive in Vietnam in May with 2 versions, the Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8V 2024 and Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid 2024.

The new 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross facelift was introduced in the Southeast Asian region in early February 2024 with its first destination being the Thai market.

Some of the exterior changes of the new Corolla Cross include redesigned full-LED headlights similar to the versions for the European and Japanese markets. The difference is that the car has a thinner upper grille with a honeycomb pattern that looks quite similar to the Lexus RX.

Additionally, the car also receives new headlights and sequential turn signal lights similar to the versions of Corolla Cross sold in other markets.

Other notable exterior highlights include a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate with foot sensor. The taillights are also new LED lights, accompanied by new 18-inch forged alloy wheels.

In the Thai market, the Corolla Cross continues to be equipped with a naturally aspirated 1.8L gasoline engine in the regular internal combustion engine and is also part of the hybrid powertrain.

Specifically, the internal combustion engine continues to be the 2ZR-FBE 1.8L type with a capacity of 140 horsepower and a torque of 177 Nm on the base 1.8 Sport Plus version and the 2ZR-FXE 1.8L engine with a capacity of 122 horsepower for the remaining three hybrid variants.

Regarding active safety equipment, the car is equipped standard with blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while the higher variants are equipped with Toyota Safety Sense system including forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control at all speeds, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic headlights and parking assist brake.

Other active safety equipment includes electronic stability control, traction control, ABS braking system, EBD, brake assist, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring and 7 airbags.

Notable upgrades for the interior include an electronic parking brake with auto hold function. The car is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital display and all variants have a 10.1-inch touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The Corolla Cross facelift features black or red leather seats. The cabin lighting now uses LED lights and the top two variants have wireless charging and a panoramic sunroof.
