What does Minh “Nhựa” say about the world’s largest supercar journey happening in September this year? It’s mind-blowing!

With his ownership of the Pagani Huayra and McLaren Elva, Minh "Nhựa" would cause quite a stir in the international media about the Vietnamese passion for car enthusiasts if he were to bring both of them to the Gumball 3000 supercar rally in Vietnam on September 14, 2024.

In the year 2024, there will be many automotive celebrations and events, one of them being the 25th anniversary of the world’s largest supercar journey, the Gumball 3000. Founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, Gumball 3000 has a mission to connect car enthusiasts with music, fashion, and popular culture.

In their latest announcement, Gumball 3000 shared that “Due to the current conflict in the Gaza and Red Sea regions of the Middle East, we have decided to hold this year’s rally entirely in Southeast Asia. The new 25th anniversary route will take place from Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore”. This will be the first time the Gumball 3000 event is organized in ASEAN.

Minh “Nhua” on the world’s largest supercar journey happening in Vietnam in September this year, it’s mind-blowing

As soon as Gumball 3000 announced that their 25th anniversary supercar journey will start on September 14th to 22nd, 2024, with Vietnam as the starting point, many car enthusiasts, including Cường “Đô-la,” were thrilled. Cường “Đô-la” quickly posted “What do you guys think?” immediately followed by numerous comments from his friends. In particular, Minh “Nhua,” also left his opinion.

Businessman Phạm Trần Nhật Minh, aka Minh “Nhua,” currently owns a Pagani Huayra and a McLaren Elva. Therefore, if he brings both cars to the Gumball 3000 supercar journey happening on September 14th, 2024 in Vietnam, it will be a significant moment for Vietnamese car enthusiasts and a story that international media will cover.

However, Minh “Nhua” expressed a different sentiment about the Gumball 3000 supercar journey, he said, “Not feeling great.” Therefore, it is likely that he won’t participate in this event in September. But when the supercar journey takes place, he may feel excited about the world’s largest automotive event, and it will be difficult to organize a second time in Vietnam.

If Minh “Nhua” participates, what car do you think he will drive? The Pagani Huayra, McLaren Elva, or a regular SUV?

Regarding the Pagani Huayra, there were only 100 coupe versions produced. Minh “Nhua’s” “wind god” is orange and has a brand new license plate. The car is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 twin-turbo engine produced by Mercedes-AMG. This engine produces a maximum power of 720 horsepower and a torque of 1,000 Nm.

Combined with a 7-speed sequential gearbox with a single clutch, the Pagani Huayra can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 370 km/h.

As for the McLaren Elva, it is a unique and open-top design that creates excitement. However, Minh “Nhua” chose the 3 optional windshields variant to comply with Vietnamese regulations. Currently, it is unclear whether his McLaren Elva has been registered and received a license plate.

Aside from its impressive design, the Elva is not vastly different in terms of power. It is still powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, similar to other McLaren models such as the McLaren 720S, McLaren 720S Spider, and even the McLaren Senna owned by Hoàng Kim Khánh and Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ.

This engine provides a maximum power of 804 horsepower and a torque of 800 Nm to the McLaren Elva. The entire power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to these specifications, the McLaren Elva can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.
