A short 8-second video confirms that Ford Vietnam is about to introduce the Ranger Stormtrak. However, no details or specifications, nor pricing, have been revealed. Nevertheless, it is highly likely that when launched, the Ranger Stormtrak will be the top-of-the-line version of the Ranger model, excluding the Ranger Raptor.

Prior to this, the Ford Ranger Stormtrak had been introduced at the Bangkok International Auto Show 2023. Playing the role of a bridge between the already powerful Ranger Wildtrak and the high-performance Ranger Raptor, the Ranger Stormtrak is essentially a sportier version of the Ranger Wildtrak with additional features, unique livery/emblems and interior tuning.
On the exterior, Ford outfits the Stormtrak with a unique black-colored front grille and secondary lights integrated into the grille (near the C-Clamp LED headlights). Additionally, the vehicle includes unique exterior livery/emblems that differentiate it from the Wildtrak and Raptor variants. These can be seen on the lower portion of the doors and the rear panels.
To make the Stormtrak stand out even more, it comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in larger 255/55/R20 tires. Apart from the special design, the wheels also feature a red highlight for a sportier appearance.
Lastly, but equally important, the vehicle comes with the Flexible Rack System (FRS) – a standard feature on the Stormtrak, which allows for more flexible transport of longer objects.
Inside the cabin, the seats are leather-wrapped with “Stormtrak” embroidered on them. Additionally, there is a modified color scheme throughout the entire cabin, emphasizing eye-catching red accents.
Like other versions of the Ranger, the Stormtrak comes with a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system featuring a 12-inch touchscreen inspired by tablets. This center screen runs on the latest SYNC 4A software and supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB, and navigation.
Other notable features inside the Ranger Stormtrak include an electronic shifter and a full-time AWD system (with Terrain Management System) that is lacking in the Wildtrak. This Stormtrak variant even has Automated Parking Assist, allowing for automatic parking.
The “heart” of the Ranger Stormtrak is a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine. Similar to the Wildtrak, this engine produces 210 PS of power and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
