Ever since flying his multi-million dollar hypercar, the Koenigsegg Regera, to Sweden for repairs a few years ago, tycoon Hoang Kim Khanh has been actively updating the status of this megacar masterpiece.
In his latest post, the image of Hoang Kim Khanh’s multi-million dollar Koenigsegg Regera being transported by a forklift in a port warehouse has attracted the attention of car enthusiasts, especially those in Vietnam who are eagerly anticipating the return of this blockbuster after nearly 2 years of repairs in Sweden.
However, it is not yet clear whether the image of Hoang Kim Khanh’s multi-million dollar Koenigsegg Regera was taken in the port warehouse in Sweden or has arrived in Cambodia. If it is in his home country, then the day this megacar blockbuster appears in the car garage of the tycoon in Hai Duong will not be far away.
The Koenigsegg Regera masterpiece of Hoang Kim Khanh is produced limited to 80 cars worldwide. The car has a carbon red color with white and carbon stripes to highlight its exterior. Even the rims of the Koenigsegg Regera are made of expensive carbon material.
The dealer selling the Koenigsegg Regera supercar to Hoang Kim Khanh once offered a price of $2.9 million, equivalent to 68 billion dong for the car. In which, Hoang Kim Khanh asked his close friend in the US to help him purchase the multi-million dollar Koenigsegg Regera and then asked a specialized person to import the supercar to Cambodia to take care of the procedures for license plates and deliver it to his home in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City. The process of Hoang Kim Khanh ordering and receiving the Koenigsegg Regera car is estimated to take nearly 1 year.
The Regera is also the second Koenigsegg-branded supercar that the Vietnamese tycoon has bought to experience, the first car being a CCX version with a red exterior color that is currently in a garage in Hai Phong waiting to be registered with license plates.
In addition to the multi-million dollar Koenigsegg Regera supercar, Hoang Kim Khanh’s car garage also houses other supercars including the McLaren Senna hypercar, Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Morgan Plus Six, Porsche 911 Turbo S, a pair of Bentleys – the Mulsanne EWB and the Centenary Edition Bentayga V8, as well as the luxury SUV Cadillac Escalade ESV Sport.
Hoang Kim Khanh’s Koenigsegg Regera, which was sent to Sweden for maintenance and repair, is on its way back to Vietnam. It is equipped with a hybrid drivetrain, which includes a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine, Biturbo, and 3 electric motors. The total power output of the Koenigsegg Regera is 1,500 horsepower, making it the most powerful car in the S-shaped land. The maximum torque of the Koenigsegg Regera will be 2,000 Nm.
Unlike the multi-million dollar supercars that I am experiencing, Hoang Kim Khanh’s Koenigsegg Regera is in a different league as a megacar and does not have a gearbox. Instead, the Swedish supercar manufacturer will use a direct-drive transmission system for its Regera megacar to help the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 400 km/h.
