On March 1, 2024, Toyota Vietnam announced the new retail prices for the Veloz Cross model. Starting from March 2024, this small-sized MPV will have adjusted prices for both the CVT and CVT Top versions.

Specifically, the Toyota Veloz Cross CVT will be reduced by VND 20 million to VND 638 million. Meanwhile, the price of the Toyota Veloz Cross CVT Top will be reduced by VND 38 million to VND 660 million.

Therefore, the listed price of the Toyota Veloz Cross now ranges from VND 638 million to VND 660 million, compared to the previous range of VND 658 million to VND 698 million. However, even with this new price range, the Toyota MPV is still more expensive than some competitors in the same segment, such as the Suzuki Ertiga (VND 538 million to VND 678 million), Mitsubishi Xpander (VND 560 million to VND 698 million), and Suzuki XL7 (VND 599 million to VND 639 million).

The new listed prices for the Toyota Veloz Cross will take effect from March 2024 (unit: million VND)

The Veloz Cross is not the only Toyota Vietnam model that has adjusted listed prices since the beginning of 2024. In addition to the Veloz Cross, there are also the Toyota Vios, Raize, Yaris Cross, and Fortuner.

The price reduction is expected to help Toyota Veloz Cross enhance its competitiveness in the crowded small-sized MPV segment. In 2023, it was the second best-selling MPV model in Vietnam with a cumulative sales volume of 9,318 units, second only to the Mitsubishi Xpander. However, in January 2024, the Toyota Veloz Cross experienced a sharp decline with sales volume reaching only 253 units, a decrease of 84.5%, selling fewer units than both the Suzuki XL7 and Ertiga Hybrid.

The Toyota Veloz Cross was launched in the Vietnamese market at the beginning of 2022 along with its sibling, the Avanza Premio. Initially, the car was imported from Indonesia, but it is now locally assembled.

The Toyota Veloz Cross has many competitive advantages such as a strong brand, a sporty SUV-inspired MPV design, and a rich set of features within its segment. The car is equipped with advanced safety technology package, automatic air conditioning, electronic parking brake, 9-inch entertainment screen, LED headlights, and more.

The Toyota Veloz Cross is powered by a 4-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 1.5L, capable of producing a maximum output of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 138 Nm, paired with a CVT gearbox.
