On March 1, 2024, Toyota Vietnam announced a retail price adjustment for several models, including the Vios. Starting from this March, the Toyota Vios will be reduced in price for all 3 variants: E-MT, E-CVT, and G.
Specifically, the Toyota Vios E-MT will be reduced by 21 million VND to 458 million VND. The corresponding reduction for the E-CVT version is 40 million VND, bringing the listed price down to 488 million VND. The highest reduction is for the G variant, with 47 million VND. As a result, the highest-end version of the Toyota Vios will now cost only 545 million VND.
Therefore, the current price range for the Toyota Vios is from 458 million to 545 million VND, replacing the previous range of 479 million to 592 million VND. With the new prices, the Toyota Vios will be much cheaper compared to its segment rival, the Honda City (559-609 million VND), while also narrowing the gap with the Hyundai Accent (426.1-542.1 million VND).
Variant | New Listed Price | Old Listed Price | Reduction |
Toyota Vios E-MT | 458 | 479 | 21 |
Toyota Vios E-CVT | 488 | 528 | 40 |
Toyota Vios G | 545 | 592 | 47 |
New price table applied from March 2024 for Toyota Vios (unit: million VND)
This is the second price reduction by Toyota Vietnam in 2024. Previously, in January 2024, Toyota Vietnam adjusted the prices of 3 models: Yaris Cross, Raize, and Fortuner.
In addition to the price reduction, there are no other changes to the Toyota Vios compared to before. Since the upgraded version was introduced in mid-2023, this model has experienced fluctuating and unstable sales, losing its position as the best-selling B-segment sedan to its competitor, the Hyundai Accent. In January 2024, the Toyota Vios continued to trail behind the Hyundai Accent with sales of only 653 units, a decrease of 78.3%.
One possible reason for the decline in popularity of the Toyota Vios is the controversial design of the upgraded version. This version is only sold in Vietnam, while the versions in other Southeast Asian markets have undergone a complete design and equipment overhaul.
In the upgraded version, the Toyota Vios comes with features such as LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, sportier seats, steering wheel with paddle shifters, larger 9-inch center touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, and USB Type C ports for the rear seats.

The safety features of the Toyota Vios have also been upgraded with 7 airbags and the Toyota Safety Sense active safety package, including the pre-collision system (PCS) and lane departure alert (LDA) systems.
Meanwhile, the engine of the Toyota Vios remains a 1.5L inline-4 gasoline engine, producing a maximum output of 107 horsepower and a maximum torque of 140 Nm, similar to the previous version. The engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
With the new prices, the Toyota Vios is expected to improve its sales volume in the coming months.
