While Toyota reduced the listed price of the Vios on the first day of March 2024, Honda has launched a new promotion for the City. The Honda City is now enjoying the same benefits as the end of February 2024.

Under this promotion, the Honda City L and G models will receive 100% waived registration fees, plus an additional cash amount of 30 million VND. As for the highest-end RS variant, customers will receive a 50% waived registration fee and 1 year of vehicle insurance coverage.

This promotion for the Honda City is applicable based on the 10% registration fee rate. Currently, the G variant is priced at 559 million VND and the L variant is priced at 589 million VND. With the 100% waived registration fee promotion, customers buying a Honda City can save 56 million VND with the G variant and 59 million VND with the L variant. Additionally, they will receive an additional cash amount of 30 million VND, making the total benefits for the G variant 86 million VND and for the L variant 89 million VND. As for the Honda City RS, which is priced at 609 million VND, the waived registration fee benefit will be equivalent to 30 million VND.

It is worth mentioning that this promotion is only applicable to the 2023 production Honda City models (with VIN numbers from 2023). This initiative aims to clear out the remaining inventory at Honda Vietnam dealerships. The promotion will be implemented for customers who sign a vehicle purchase contract and complete the full payment process from March 5th to March 31st, 2024.

Promotion for the Honda City in March 2024

Compared to the 2024 production model, the Honda City with VIN numbers from 2023 does not have any differences in terms of equipment or design, but it may have a lower resale value. Additionally, the availability of the 2023 models may be limited in terms of quantity and color, depending on each dealership.

In 2023, the City remained the best-selling car model of the Honda brand in Vietnam, with a cumulative sales volume of 9,894 units. Furthermore, it ranked third in the B-segment sedan market, following the Hyundai Accent and Toyota Vios. Moreover, the Honda City was also the 10th best-selling car model in the Vietnamese market last year.

The Honda City received a mid-life facelift in 2023, with some minor changes in design and equipment. Specifically, the car now comes standard with the active safety technology package Honda Sensing – a feature that its rivals, the Toyota Vios and Hyundai Accent, still lack. Additionally, the Honda City has been upgraded with rear disc brakes.

Unfortunately, the engine of the Honda City remains unchanged. The car still uses the 1.5L i-VTEC 4-cylinder DOHC petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
