Before the news of the increased training and examination fees for driving licenses, the Hanoi Department of Transport issued a document requiring training centers not to arbitrarily increase fees.
The Hanoi Department of Transport stated that after Tet, there have been announcements on social media about the increase in training and examination fees for B1 and B2 driving licenses by training centers, ranging from 70% to 100%.
Specifically, before Tet, the training and examination fees for driving licenses were priced between 12 to 15 million VND per student for a course. However, after Tet, many students who registered for training and examination courses to obtain driving licenses at these centers received announcements that the fees have increased to 20 to 30 million VND per student.
After checking the information posted on social media, the increased fees mentioned by the public are related to training and examination centers in the southern provinces.
In response to these reports, the Hanoi Department of Transport has requested that driving training and examination centers in the area comply with the regulations on standardized service fees for driving training as specified.
“During the implementation of Resolution No. 12 of the City People’s Council, if there are any new documents from the central government that amend, supplement, or replace the current regulations, or if any difficulties or issues arise, causing the current resolution to be inconsistent, all training institutions are requested to make recommendations to the competent authorities for adjustment according to the regulations,” the Hanoi Department of Transport stated.
