The Huawei Aito M9 is a flagship three-row SUV, with a body style that closely resembles the Mercedes GLS but with more advanced technologies and an electric range of 630km.
Aito is a new energy automobile brand jointly established by Huawei and Seres at the end of 2021. The Aito M9 is a premium SUV equipped with modern technologies developed by Huawei. According to reports, this model has sold over 50,000 cars in just 62 days.
In the Chinese market, the 2024 Huawei Aito M9 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variant is distributed in 4 versions, with prices ranging from 469,800-549,800 Chinese yuan (~ 1,534-1,796 billion VND). The pure electric Max variant has a price of 509,800 Chinese yuan (~ 1,665 billion VND), and the Ultra version is 569,800 Chinese yuan (~ 1,861 billion VND).
The 2024 Huawei Aito M9 has a relatively large size, with a length of 5,230 mm, width of 1,999 mm, height of 1,800 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. Despite its bulky size, this SUV has a low drag coefficient of only 0.264 Cd.
The design of Aito M9 is considered modern and luxurious, but lacks breakthrough points. The car is equipped with high-tech headlights reminiscent of Huawei’s Luxeed S7 sedan. The headlights are equipped with adaptive LED matrix technology and sensors to detect pedestrians or crossing vehicles. Especially, this premium SUV is also equipped with projectors on the outside, which can turn any surface into a 100-inch screen.
Entering the cabin, the Aito M9 is equipped with a large screen cluster, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 15.6-inch center entertainment screen, and a 16-inch front passenger screen. In addition, the car is also equipped with a 75-inch HUD screen, 4 tablets for each rear passenger, and a laser projector. The infotainment system is supported by HarmonyOS 4 operating system and a 2,080-watt 25-speaker sound system integrated with active noise reduction technology.
The 6-seat interior layout of the Chinese SUV model can be adjusted according to the needs of the occupants, for example, folding the third row seats to create additional storage space or reclining them flat into a single bed. All seats are electronically controlled and feature heating and ventilation functions. In terms of safety, the Aito M9 is equipped with 27 sensors and the latest Huawei ADS 2.0 system.
The Aito M9 has two engine options. The pure electric version has a power output of 523 horsepower, accompanied by a 97.7 kWh battery pack for a maximum range of 630 km. Meanwhile, the hybrid version has a combined power output of 490 horsepower, accompanied by a 42 kWh or 52 kWh battery pack from CATL. In this version, the car has a range of 1,362-1,402 km with a full battery and fuel tank.
