The Hyundai Creta recently received a mid-life update in India with a boxier design, improved technology, and more powerful drivetrain options. And now, the Korean automaker has introduced the range-topping N Line variant with a sportier, more aggressive look, along with the most powerful powertrain option.
The 2024 Creta N Line features a distinctive appearance compared to the regular variants, highlighted by a sleeker honeycomb grille, with split LED headlights on each side. As a result, the Hyundai logo appears smaller and lower than on the other Creta models. The faux aluminum skid plate has also been enlarged and the lower part of the bumper has red accents.
Other changes to the rest of the body include sportier side body cladding and the rear bumper extension also has red details like the front bumper.
In addition, the car features new 18-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, dual exhaust pipes, an exclusive Thunder Blue paint color, and several N Line badges around the car.
Hyundai has not yet revealed the interior images of the new Creta N Line, but we can expect the cabin to have a darker color tone, with red accents, aluminum pedals, and various N Line badges. As the top-of-the-line variant, the Creta N Line will come fully equipped with the ADAS safety package, a new digital instrument cluster with a 10.25-inch dual-screen setup, and an extensive list of features.
In the Indian market, the Hyundai Creta is available with 3 drivetrain options, but only the most powerful variant out of the three is offered for the N Line. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.5L T-Gdi petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 158 horsepower and peak torque of 253 Nm, significantly higher than the 113 horsepower output of the 1.5L Mpi petrol engine and the 1.5L diesel engine in the lower variants.
The 1.5 T-GDi turbocharged engine is only available with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, but according to Autocar India, a 6-speed manual transmission option may be added in the future.
Like other N Line variants, Hyundai is expected to offer a specially-tuned chassis setup for the Creta N Line with a stiffer suspension system and sharper steering to enhance the dynamic driving characteristics of the Creta. This sets the Korean model apart from the premium variants of rival SUVs such as the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo and the Kia Seltos X Line, which only have sporty looks limited to the exterior.
The 2024 Hyundai Creta N Line has been unveiled and will officially hit the Indian market on March 11th.
