Recently, Toyota sales consultants revealed that the company is planning to add two more versions to the Hilux pickup truck, giving consumers more options before making a purchase.

Currently, many dealerships have already accepted deposits for this vehicle model and are expected to deliver the cars in the second quarter of this year.

Toyota Hilux is currently available in Vietnam with only one version, which is the 2.4L 4×2 AT, priced at 825 million VND.

In the near future, Toyota will add two new variants: the 4×2 MT and the 4×4 AT Adventure. Both versions will have two engine options that meet Euro 5 standards.

The 4×2 MT version will share the same 2.4L diesel engine as the current 4×2 AT version. The engine produces a power output of 148 horsepower and a maximum torque of 400 Nm.

Meanwhile, the 4×4 AT Adventure version will be equipped with a 2.8L diesel engine, delivering a power output of 201 horsepower and a torque of 500 Nm.

It is expected that the Toyota Hilux 2024 model in Vietnam will have a similar design to the recently launched upgraded version in the Australian and Indonesian markets. The car will have a new hexagonal grille design that looks sportier. Meanwhile, the LED headlights and fog lights have been redesigned to improve visibility when driving at night. In addition, the front bumper and the new silver-colored fog light housing have been added. The car is equipped with new 17-inch alloy wheels.

According to sales consultants, the 4×4 AT Adventure version will be equipped with additional features such as blind spot monitoring, 360-degree camera, rear cross-traffic alert, and a wireless smartphone connectivity screen.

It is expected that Toyota Hilux 2024 will have a price starting from 668 million VND. This price is similar to the Ford Ranger but higher than most competitors in the same segment, such as Mazda BT-50 (from 554 million VND), Mitsubishi Triton (from 650 million VND), and Isuzu D-Max (from 650 million VND).
