Recently, news about the first Ferrari 296 GTB supercar arriving in Vietnam and being resold to a car showroom in Hanoi has quickly caught the attention of car enthusiasts in the country. Now, this supercar has been spotted in Ho Chi Minh City.
Images show that this Ferrari 296 GTB supercar was transported to a showroom specializing in buying and selling used cars. This place is the go-to destination for Cường “Đô-la” and Minh “Nhựa” whenever they sell pre-owned supercars.
The fact that the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar was transported to Ho Chi Minh City opens up greater opportunities for this showroom to find customers. The “wealthy class” in the South are known to be fond of buying supercars. Previously, this company had sold a pair of pre-owned supercars, namely the Ferrari F8 Tributo owned by Cường “Đô-la” and the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 previously owned by couple Đoàn Di Băng.
Unlike two days ago, this time the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar is being offered for sale publicly at VND 23 billion, the same as the starting price set by the manufacturer for this PHEV model. However, the advantage is that the car is already equipped with nearly VND 2 billion worth of aftermarket accessories, already has license plates, and has only been driven for over 3,000 km, making it almost brand new.
The interesting feature of the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar being sold for VND 23 billion lies in its plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.9-liter, turbocharged V6 petrol engine. This marks the return of the V6 engine after a 5-decade absence. The internal combustion engine produces a maximum power output of 654 horsepower, while the electric motor provides an additional maximum power output of 164 horsepower.
The maximum torque figures delivered by the internal combustion and electric powertrains are 425 Nm and 315 Nm respectively. With its plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Ferrari 296 GTB boasts a combined maximum power output of 818 horsepower and a peak torque of 740 Nm.
The new Ferrari 296 GTB supercar being resold by the Hanoi tycoon can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. The plug-in hybrid vehicle can travel a maximum distance of 25 km and reach a maximum speed of 135 km/h using only its electric motor.
