Israeli electric car startup City Transformer has recently revealed that it will soon launch a mini electric car called CT-2.
The company has not yet shared images of CT-2, but it is likely that the car will have many similarities to its predecessor, CT-1, which made waves in the electric car industry by winning the Gold Prize at the 2022 German Design Award.
The CT-2 is also made from environmentally friendly materials to minimize carbon emissions during production.
The car is equipped with only 2 doors, which helps to minimize production costs. The car doors have a modern and stylish sliding cut design.
This mini electric car CT-2 is considered an effective solution for traffic congestion and parking space shortage as it can be compacted to one fourth the size of a conventional car.
With a width of just under 1.4 meters, it can be further compacted to less than 1 meter and weighs only 450 kg, equivalent to the battery pack of a Tesla Model 3.
When in full size, the CT-2 can reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h, and when compacted, it will have a maximum speed of only 45 km/h. The car can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 5 seconds. It has a range of 120 to 180 km on a single charge.
According to the manufacturer’s announcement, the CT-2 uses a battery pack that is 70% lighter than other electric cars. This means the company also uses less energy for production and minimizes the emission of harmful substances into the environment.
This CT-2 electric car can accommodate two people sitting side by side or can be used for delivery and other business activities. If the rear seats are folded down, the car has a luggage compartment of up to 350 liters.
The interior of the car is simple, with a small steering wheel and two screens to convey necessary information to the driver.
The company has already received 1,000 orders from Israeli emergency services and another 1,000 orders from around the world.
According to the plan, the car will officially be released in the market in July 2024 with a price of $17,400 (430 million VND). Customers can start depositing for the car from now on.
