After about a year of “living together” with Hanoi’s tycoon, recently, the first Ferrari 296 GTB supercar in Vietnam was unexpectedly listed for sale on the used car market.
Accordingly, the car has been transported to a showroom in Ho Chi Minh City and is in the process of finding a new owner.
The car for sale has an odometer reading of 3,000 km, is a 2022 model, and was first registered in January 2023. The desired price by the owner is over 22 billion VND.
It is known that in order to complete the paperwork and drive this Ferrari 296 GTB, the previous owner had to spend no less than 24 billion VND.
Basically, after one year of use, the car is still in good condition. This Ferrari 296 GTB stands out with its glossy yellow exterior color called Gialo Modena. This paint color is one of the standard paint options for the “Prancing Horse” brand.
The front of the car has an elongated air vent, with small air intakes on either side to increase cooling for the brake system. In the center, there is an additional air outlet to direct the airflow under the car.
The Ferrari 296 GTB features a sophisticated two-layer LED lighting system, alongside the positioning lights and small air intakes. The front lip of the car is made of lightweight composite material instead of expensive carbon fiber.
This Ferrari 296 GTB has a smooth body design without bold creases. The door handles are also discreetly integrated into the body to enhance aerodynamics. There are still air vents on either side to cool the turbocharged engine inside.
At the rear of the Ferrari 296 GTB, there is a simple designed taillight cluster similar to the Ferrari Roma model. The exhaust system is centrally located. The bold diffuser is made of lightweight composite material instead of the expensive carbon fiber option. The air vents are smaller than before.
The Ferrari 296 GTB has a horizontally placed engine cover, different from the 488 GTB and F8 Tributo models that usually feature a sloping design from the roof to the rear. This new design is also applied to the SF90 Spider/Stradale models.
Powering the Ferrari 296 GTB is a plug-in hybrid powertrain, consisting of a twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine producing 663 horsepower and an electric motor providing an additional 164 horsepower. The total output generated is up to 818 horsepower with 740 Nm of torque.
With this power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
Combined with the plug-in hybrid powertrain is an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. However, the car uses rear-wheel drive instead of the all-wheel drive like the Ferrari SF90.
