First-Time Unregistered, Maserati MC20 Reduced by Almost 3 Billion to Find Buyers

The Maserati MC20 supercar, after 2 years in Vietnam, has been reduced in price by nearly 3 billion VND due to lack of buyers, despite the fact that the car has not been registered yet.

The private import car market has been experiencing many fluctuations lately, especially in the luxury and supercar segments, as prices for some cars continue to drop. Some models like the Maybach S 680 have reduced prices by 4-6 billion VND to compete with much cheaper imported cars from authorized dealers.

This private imported Maserati MC20 is no exception. This is the second MC20 in Vietnam and the only one in the country with a white Bianco Audace exterior. The others are painted yellow, gray, and blue.

According to information from the seller, the current selling price is 16.8 billion VND. Compared to April 2023, the showroom has reduced the price by nearly 3 billion VND, from over 19 billion VND. Even when it first arrived in the country and was put up for sale by a well-known supercar showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, the price was over 20 billion VND.

Currently, there are 2 other MC20s being offered for sale in the used car market, including the first MC20 to arrive in Vietnam (which has been upgraded with a gold-plated package worth over 2 billion VND) and an official imported MC20. The selling price of these 2 supercars ranges from 13-15 billion VND after 2-3 years of use.

The starting price of a brand new Maserati MC20 from authorized dealers is 16 billion VND – about 4 billion VND cheaper than the prices offered by private owners in 2021. However, up until now, only 3 MC20s have been delivered to Vietnamese tycoons through official dealers, including 2 Coupe models of a tycoon in Saigon and Vung Tau. The remaining one is a Cielo (convertible) version owned by musician Luong Bang Quang.

The white Italian supercar featured in the article was manufactured in 2021 and arrived in Vietnam in January 2022. Initially, the car was displayed at a private showroom in Ho Chi Minh City, but it could not find a new owner and was moved to Hanoi for sale. Not stopping there, the car was then brought to Da Nang and is currently back in Hanoi as no buyer has been found yet.

The interior of the car uses mainly black color, accented with blue stitching and trim. Many details are made from carbon fiber material, such as the steering wheel, instrument panel, central control panel, and door sills. The sports seats are upholstered in premium leather and Alcantara material. The car is equipped with a 10.25-inch central entertainment screen.

The “heart” of the Maserati MC20 is the twin-turbo Nettuno V6 engine with a displacement of 3.0 liters, developed by the Italian powerhouse instead of using a Ferrari engine. The power from this engine is at a level of 621 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 325 km/h.
