Despite the fact that the Suzuki Jimny has been on the Vietnamese market since last year, it is only now that this off-road SUV model is officially launching.
The Suzuki Jimny has been confirmed to officially debut in Vietnam in April. Currently, on the official website of Suzuki Vietnam, the company has released images of the Jimny with the words “coming soon.” In addition, the car has also arrived at most dealerships nationwide for display and product introduction.

However, Suzuki Vietnam has not yet announced the official selling price of the Jimny. Previously, the latest car registration fee schedule from the Ministry of Finance appeared on social media, showing that the official Jimny (code JB74V) has a pre-tax price of VND789 million. This is also the price that many dealerships have accepted deposits for the one-tone color version of the Suzuki Jimny and the two-tone color version for VND799 million.
Although not yet officially launched, the Suzuki Jimny has already been delivered to many customers. There are even dealerships offering the Suzuki Jimny modified to look like the G-Class for VND999 million, which is VND200 million higher than the expected selling price.
The Suzuki Jimny launched in Vietnam will be the 3-door version. In this version, the SUV model has dimensions of 3,480 x 1,645 x 1,720 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase length of 2,250 mm.
The exterior of the car has a rugged style, reminiscent of SUV models like the Land Rover Defender or Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
The Suzuki Jimny is equipped with many features such as automatic LED headlights, headlight washer system, front fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 195/80R15 tires, power-adjustable/folding side mirrors, scratch-resistant front/rear bumpers, and a horizontally-opening tailgate with a spare tire…
In terms of interior, as it is an off-road vehicle, the cabin of the Suzuki Jimny is designed to be simple. However, the car still has all the necessary amenities such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with function buttons, an analogue instrument cluster with a central multifunction display, and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.
For safety equipment, the Suzuki Jimny will have a range of driving assistance features such as ABS, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, hill descent control, and a 6-airbag system.
Providing power for the Suzuki Jimny in the Vietnamese market is a natural aspirated 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol engine with a maximum output of 101 horsepower and 130 Nm of torque. Notably, the Suzuki Jimny is perhaps the only small-sized high-riding vehicle equipped with both two-wheel drive, differential lock, multiple driving mode options, and comes with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
