After being first introduced through the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 held in the US in January, the VinFast VF Wild continues to arrive in Southeast Asia.
The electric pickup model VinFast VF Wild will be introduced for the first time in the Southeast Asia region through the Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) held in Thailand, opening on March 26.

Accordingly, the official website of BIMS has recently confirmed the presence of the Vietnamese automobile manufacturer, with the VF Wild model even being listed among the noteworthy products at the event. Besides the VF Wild, VinFast will also bring the VF 7 urban SUV to the event.
After Thailand, enthusiasts are looking forward to the launch of VinFast VF Wild in Vietnam, at the Vietnam Motor Show 2024, which is scheduled to be held later this year.
Currently, there are numerous electric pickup models available in the market, from established brands to startups. Some notable names include the Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevrolet Silverado EV, Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, GMC Hummer Pickup EV… and these are all large-sized vehicles. Meanwhile, in the midsize electric pickup segment, there are the VinFast VF Wild and Toyota Hilux Revo BEV/EPU, but they are still in the concept stage.
The specific technical specifications of VinFast VF Wild have not been announced by the manufacturer. However, with a length of 5,324mm and a width of 1,997mm, the vehicle belongs to the midsize pickup segment, similar to models such as the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux.
One unique feature of the VinFast VF Wild is the expandable cargo bed, which can be extended from 1,524mm to 2,438mm. This is made possible by the flexible door panel located between the passenger cabin and the cargo bed.
The overall design of the VinFast VF Wild is considered masculine, rugged yet modern. The side mirrors are replaced by cameras, enhancing the vehicle’s aerodynamic capabilities. Inside the cabin, the VinFast VF Wild features a modern design with a two-spoke steering wheel, dashboard, and a separate shifter area.
Notably, this electric pickup model comes with two entertainment screens dedicated to the rear seats. The VinFast VF Wild can be considered the first true concept version of the brand. Previous concept models from VinFast had many similarities and did not differ much from the production version.
Currently, VinFast has not announced the launch date of the commercial version of the VF Wild.
