During the discussion, a sales representative at a Ford dealer in Ho Chi Minh City said that the Ford Explorer is currently receiving a cashback offer worth 440 million VND.
“The Ford Explorer currently has a price of 1.999 billion VND, equivalent to a discount of 440 million VND from the list price,” said the employee.
According to the sharing, the number of Ford Explorers eligible for the above-mentioned discount is still very limited, with each dealer currently having only about 1-2 cars. The employee also revealed that all Ford Explorer models in the Vietnamese market are manufactured in 2022.
“The current inventory of Ford Explorer with 2022 VIN numbers is not much, so this discount is aimed at clearing the stock,” confirmed the employee.
It is known that the new generation Ford Explorer was officially introduced to the Vietnamese market at the beginning of 2022. At present, the listed price of this large-size SUV is 2.399 billion VND.

In Vietnam, the Ford Explorer is a familiar name in the group of slowest-selling cars in the market in each reporting period. At the end of 2023, the Ford Explorer has accumulated sales of 320 cars, equivalent to an average consumption of nearly 27 cars per month.
The competitors of the Ford Explorer in the 7-seater SUV segment in the Vietnamese market include names such as the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (from 2.628 billion VND), the Volkswagen Teramont (2.499 billion VND), and the Hyundai Palisade (from 1.469 billion VND).
Prior to this, the Hyundai Palisade also had its selling price adjusted downward by 70 million VND at the beginning of the year, after a long period of being sold at a higher price than the listed price. Despite being launched in October last year, the Hyundai Palisade was still able to achieve a total sales volume of 413 cars, of which December 2023 recorded a consumption of 258 Palisade cars in the Vietnamese market.
