Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu has long been known as a fan of Aston Martin cars. Models like Vanquish, DBX707, and Vantage have several pieces of each type in the coffee tycoon’s car collection. In addition, he also owns some other models like DB11, DB9 Volante.
Recently, the image of the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster appeared at a friendly car dealership showroom with Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, which surprised many people when both sides of the car body had the UN lettering – a detail appearing on the Trung Nguyên group cars. That implicitly affirms that the car has come to the “coffee tycoon.”
The value of this convertible sports car is not clear, but according to Autodaily’s research, in 2018, another V8 Vantage Roadster was sold for over VND 3 billion. So after 6 years, the businessman from Khanh Hoa province may have to spend no less than VND 2 billion to own this rare car.
This gray Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is the second car to arrive in Vietnam, after the first one with a white exterior and before the third one with a standout yellow paint. In addition, the set of wheels is completely different from the other two (multi-spoke design and single 7-spoke) when it only consists of 5 dual-spoke wheels painted gray with a size of 20 inches.
The cabin space of the car combines luxury and sportiness, with mainly brown and black colors but without carbon fiber trim details. The sport seats have appeared with wrinkles but still in good tension.
The Aston Martin Vantage Roadster was first introduced in 2006. The fabric folding roof can be opened/closed in 18 seconds. With the car in the article belonging to the 2009 model, the naturally aspirated V8 engine has been increased in displacement from 4.3 liters to 4.7 liters by the British automaker, producing 420 horsepower and 472 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
In addition to the recently acquired Vantage Roadster, Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu also spent nearly VND 1 billion to buy a 15-year-old Nissan 350Z sports car. After a series of continuous supercar purchases in 2021-2022, Mr. Vu has switched to playing classic cars like Datsun 280ZX, Ford Pinto, Toyota Corolla II GL, Toyota Celica manual transmission, etc.
