Electric cars are currently the general trend of the entire global automotive industry. Even brands that specialize in producing powerful “muscle” cars like Dodge have had to change direction and introduce electric cars.
Not long ago, the Dodge brand of Stellantis unveiled the new generation of its “muscle” car, the Charger. The 2024 Dodge Charger will be introduced to the market as a replacement for both the Charger and the Challenger. In other words, the Dodge Charger and Challenger will be merged into one model.
However, the highlight of the 2024 Dodge Charger lies in its new all-electric version. This is the emission-free version of the famous “muscle” car, the Dodge Charger. At the same time, it is also the first time in its 6-decade history that this model does not use a V8 engine and runs entirely on electricity.
The all-electric version of this car will be called the Dodge Charger Daytona EV. Meanwhile, the version that uses an internal combustion engine will be called the Dodge Charger.
The 2024 Dodge Charger will be available in both 2-door and 4-door configurations. The car is developed based on the new STLA platform of its parent company, Stellantis.

Regardless of the configuration, the car has dimensions of 5,248 x 2,028 x 1,497 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,074 mm. Compared to the previous generation, the car is longer by 203 mm, wider by 127 mm, and the wheelbase has increased by 20 mm. As a result, this car has a similar width to the standard wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

The “heart” of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV is an electric motor whose power varies depending on the version. The R/T version is equipped with a powerful electric motor that produces 496 horsepower and 548 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds. Meanwhile, the Scat Pack version has 670 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds.

These figures can only be achieved when the driver presses the Power Shot button on the steering wheel, which provides an additional 40 horsepower for 15 seconds. The top speed of the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV is 137 mph for the R/T version and 134 mph for the Scat Pack version.
In addition, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV is equipped with a 100 kWh battery pack, providing a range of 317 miles for the R/T version and 260 miles for the Scat Pack version. The battery can be fully charged in 32.5 minutes using a DC fast charger with a power output of 350 kW.
Although not equipped with a V8 engine, the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV promises to deliver impressive sound during operation thanks to the Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system. The simulated engine sound of the car will change depending on the driving mode and speed. The R/T version has driving modes such as Auto, Eco, Sport, Wet/Snow, and Track, selectable via buttons on the steering wheel. The Scat Pack version also has additional modes such as Donut Mode and Drift Mode.

In addition to the electric motor, the R/T and Scat Pack versions of this muscle electric car also have some differences in terms of exterior design. The R/T version has an “R/T” logo on the front fender and comes with 18-inch silver alloy wheels. The Scat Pack version features a bee logo on the front fender and is equipped with 20-inch gray wheels.

The shared features of these two versions include wireless phone charging, optional interior ambient lighting system, pistol grip shifter, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Uconnect 5, standard cloth and vinyl seats, and optional red or black Nappa leather seats. Optional sports seats with fixed headrests are also available. The rear seats can be folded down to increase the luggage capacity to 38.5 cubic feet. Under the hood, there is a storage compartment with a capacity of 1.5 cubic feet.

For the 2024 Dodge Charger, which uses a conventional gasoline engine, it is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 engine. The Sixpack S.O. version produces a maximum output of 420 horsepower, while the Sixpack H.O. version produces 550 horsepower.
