The Vietnam Register has issued a recall notice related to the Ford brand due to the potential for AdBlue fuel injector failure and software upgrade for the powertrain control module (PCM). Approximately 60 vehicles manufactured between July 7, 2022 and March 1, 2023 are affected by this recall.

According to the Vietnam Register, the AdBlue (Urea) fuel injectors on these models may be prone to damage due to a control module software defect. The inspection, replacement of the AdBlue fuel injectors, and software update are expected to take about an hour. The entire cost will be covered by Ford Vietnam.

In addition, Volvo Vietnam has also issued a recall notice for 7 Volvo XC90 vehicles produced between October 13, 2015 and August 16, 2021. These are all vehicles produced in Sweden and imported and distributed by authorized dealers in Vietnam. This is based on the global recall campaign number R10259 by Volvo Group.

The reason for this recall is that the seat belts in the rear seats may not be properly tightened according to the specified technical requirements. In the event of a collision, these seat belts may not provide the necessary safety for rear passengers.

The process of tightening the seat belts and securing the bolts is expected to take about 2 hours. Volvo dealers will complete the repair program by the end of this month.
