Yesterday, on March 11, 2024, Ford officially introduced a new version for the Everest lineup in the Thai market, which is the Platinum edition. Positioned as the highest-end variant of this lineup, the Everest Platinum has a starting price of 2,279 million Baht (around 1.58 billion dong).

The most notable highlight of the Ford Everest Platinum 2024 for the Thai market is the powerful 3.0L turbocharged V6 diesel engine. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 250 horsepower and a peak torque of 600 Nm. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system.

According to Ford, the Everest Platinum features a simple and elegant exterior design. The model also has several design differences compared to other variants of the Ford Everest, such as the chrome “Platinum” logo in 3 positions, including the bonnet, front door, and rear door. In addition, there is a prominent V6 logo on the front fender vent.

Furthermore, the Ford Everest Platinum 2024 is equipped with unique 21-inch alloy wheels, paired with 275/45 R21 tires, creating a more luxurious and sporty feel. This is followed by silver satin exterior details, such as the grille and roof rails.

Meanwhile, the lighting system of this mid-size SUV is divided into different zones. This feature allows the driver to activate the exterior lights in specific zones to serve outdoor activities at night when needed.

Inside the Ford Everest Platinum 2024, there is a spacious, premium, and more convenient interior space. The seats are wrapped in leather with quilted stitching, while the dashboard has wood trim details. The front seats of this model not only feature the “Platinum” logo on the seatback but also have 10-way power adjustments, heating/cooling function, and memory position. In contrast, the second-row seats have heating/cooling function controlled via the infotainment screen. The remaining highlight of the interior is the Bang & Olufsen 12-speaker sound system with a subwoofer.

Features such as a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic power sliding sunroof, interior ambient lighting, heated steering wheel, and heated second-row seats are also included in the Platinum edition.

In addition, the Ford Everest Platinum is equipped with a full range of safety features such as a 360-degree camera, automatic parking assist system, tire pressure monitoring system, lane-keeping system, evasive steering assist, reverse automatic braking, blind spot warning, intersection collision prevention, and 9 airbags.

In the Thai market, the Ford Everest Platinum 2024 is available in 5 exterior colors: silver, gray, black, brown, and white. However, Ford only distributes 350 units of this vehicle in the Land of Smiles.

According to the plan, the Ford Everest Platinum will officially launch in the Vietnamese market in this month. However, rumors suggest that the model in Vietnam will not use the V6 engine as mentioned above, but will still be equipped with the familiar 2.0L twin-turbocharged diesel engine.
