With the discontinuation of the Legend model, the Accord is the only sedan model offered by Honda in Japan. Meanwhile, the Civic is only available in hatchback form in the Land of the Rising Sun.
The suggested retail price of the Accord is higher than the top variant of the Honda Odyssey produced in China. Specifically, the Odyssey Absolute EX Black Edition starts at 5,164,500 yen, while the new Honda Accord e:HEV starts at 5,449,400 yen. Due to the high price and the fact that most Japanese consumers are not interested in sedans, Honda aims to sell 200 Accord units per month in Japan.
The Japanese version of the Accord is equipped with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid system, which includes a 2.0L Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine (147 PS/182 Nm) combined with 2 electric motors (184 PS/335 Nm).
The Accord is also the first Honda model in Japan to be equipped with the newly developed Motion Management System, which helps the car handle smoothly when cornering, reducing motion sickness for occupants even at high speeds.
In addition, the car is equipped with the Honda Sensing 360 system, which includes over 20 advanced safety features such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, and more.

Honda Accord: 40 Years of Automotive Excellence
Looking at the Vietnamese car market right now and humorously comparing it, we will see Camry as a well-behaved young girl, not outstanding in every aspect but easily becoming the choice of the “other half”. Teana, on the other hand, is like a dignified and tranquil woman, full of courage. Meanwhile, Mazda6 is like a hot girl, quickly attracting and captivating anyone’s gaze from the first encounter. As for Accord – with the elegance and experiences of a U30 lady, even though she is always praised by everyone, she hides something “difficult to deal with” in the minds of the majority.
