Meanwhile, the luxury brand Lexus sold 56 cars to Vietnamese customers in the past month, a 58.8% decrease. If combined with Lexus cars, Toyota Vietnam achieved a total sales figure of 1,304 cars in February 2024.

Table of Toyota car sales figures in February 2024 (in units: cars)

It is not surprising that Toyota Vietnam’s sales figures decreased in February 2024. This is because February 2024 coincided with the Lunar New Year holiday. Not only Toyota Vietnam, but also other car brands experienced a decline in sales, such as Hyundai.

To stimulate consumer demand, at the beginning of March 2024, Toyota Vietnam announced new listed prices for the Vios and Veloz Cross models. Accordingly, the new listed price for the Toyota Vios ranges from 458 – 545 million VND, a reduction of 21 – 47 million VND compared to before. The corresponding figures for the Toyota Veloz Cross are from 638 – 660 million VND, a reduction of 20 – 38 million VND. It is expected that this new pricing policy will help improve the sales figures of these two Toyota models in the coming months.

This is not the first time Toyota Vietnam has reduced the listed prices of its car models since the beginning of 2024. Previously, Toyota Vietnam adjusted the prices of the Yaris Cross, Raize, and Fortuner.

In addition, in 2024, Toyota Vietnam will launch a new version of the Hilux pickup truck with a lower price, starting from 668 million VND.
