According to CarBuzz, Ford is offering Jeep owners a $1,000 discount to purchase the Bronco off-road SUV. CarsDirect reports that the maximum discount mentioned above is only applicable in select restricted areas, including Chicago, Phoenix, and New York.
Specifically, customers in the aforementioned areas will receive a $1,000 discount when purchasing the 2024 Bronco and Bronco Sport. Customers who choose the Bronco Raptor variant will not be eligible for this discount. For customers residing in Atlanta and Dallas, the applicable discount amount is $500.
To qualify for Ford’s promotion, US customers residing in the above-mentioned areas must own a Jeep model no older than 1995.
Importantly, Ford does not require Jeep owners to sell their vehicles. According to CarBuzz, the program implemented by Ford can also transfer the discount to another person living at the same address.
However, the price tag of the Bronco seems to be the biggest barrier preventing US customers from splurging on this off-road SUV. Last year, the starting price for the Bronco was below $30,000, but it has now increased to $39,130 for the Big Bend variant. In the Raptor edition, the Ford Bronco has a price tag of $90,035 in the US market.

According to CarBuzz, the $1,000 discount mentioned above is part of Ford’s efforts to increase sales for the Bronco, along with the Ford Ranger and the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck. Most recently, the leading American car manufacturer announced that due to declining demand for electric vehicles, the Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck manufacturing plant will only operate one shift starting from April 1st.
Last year, total car sales in the US reached approximately 15.5 million vehicles, with nearly 17% of them being electric cars. According to data from Cox Automotive, the sales figure for 2023 is the highest that the US auto market has achieved in the past 4 years.
General Motors is the company with the best sales performance in the US, selling approximately 2.6 million vehicles in 2023. Toyota ranks second with 2.25 million vehicles sold to US customers.
Meanwhile, the car manufacturer with the oval logo recorded sales of nearly 2 million vehicles in the US market in 2023, equivalent to a growth rate of 7.1% compared to the previous year. Despite lagging behind competitors in terms of total sales volume, Ford can be satisfied as the F-150 pickup truck continues to be the best-selling model in the US, marking the 42nd consecutive year holding this achievement.
