According to the sales report of VAMA and TC GROUP, the sales volume of the Vietnamese automotive market in February 2024 decreased significantly compared to January 2024. This is understandable as February 2024 coincides with the Lunar New Year holiday period, leading to a decrease in sales volume for most car brands.
This situation resulted in the Top 10 best-selling car models in February also having relatively poor sales performance, with no model reaching the 1,000-unit mark. In fact, only just over 260 units were sold in February 2024, making it to the list of the top-selling cars.
With 880 units delivered to customers in February 2024, a decrease of 263 units compared to the previous month, the Ford Ranger maintained its number one position on the sales chart. The second position belonged to the Mitsubishi Xpander with 641 units sold, a decrease of 644 units compared to January 2024.
By the end of February 2024, the sales of Honda City reached 640 units, an increase of 158 units compared to the previous month. This growth helped City climb from the 10th position to the 3rd position, a jump of 7 places compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, the Mazda CX-5 maintained its 4th position with 600 units sold, a decrease of more than 200 units compared to January.
In the past month, Hyundai Accent sold 365 units, a significant decrease from the 915 units in the previous month. This drop caused Accent to fall from the 3rd position in the January ranking to the 6th position in the February ranking.
In addition, in February, the Top 10 best-selling cars also saw the emergence of the new Kia Canival with 268 units sold, a decrease of 71 units compared to the previous month.
