The Mild Hybrid electric system helps to improve fuel efficiency. The Belt Starter Generator (BSG) system combined with a compact lithium-ion battery provides a 12-volt electrical supply for the vehicle. The BSG recovers energy during braking and charges the battery. The MHEV technology also allows the engine to temporarily shut down with the Start-Stop function activated at speeds below 22 km/h.
The 7-speed S-tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system provide high-performance drivability.
