McLaren Senna GTR Racing Supercar Imported to Vietnam by Phan Cong Khanh Arrives in Germany

Upon its arrival in Vietnam, many people questioned the purpose of this "car broker" importing racing supercars into the country and which daring magnate would buy a car just for gazing at it. Now, the McLaren Senna GTR has been put up for sale by a luxury car dealer in Germany at a price of 1.88 million Euros, equivalent to 48 billion Vietnamese Dong.

In early February of this year, a luxury car importer in Vietnam uploaded images of the racing car McLaren Senna GTR with the number 33 on its exterior, which had been exported abroad, after nearly half a year of being stored in a warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City. Interestingly, this McLaren Senna GTR car was previously known under the name of Phan Cong Khanh, the owner of K-Supper showroom, before the car dealer was arrested.

Until now, the million-dollar supercar McLaren Senna GTR can only run in the race track and it has found a new home, specifically, at a renowned supercar dealership in Germany, where Khanh Supper as well as some other supercar showrooms in Vietnam usually import cars from.

This dealership is currently offering for sale the racing car McLaren Senna GTR that was once imported by Phan Cong Khanh to Vietnam for 1,888,800 Euros, equivalent to 48 billion Vietnamese dong. They introduced the car as having only driven 80 km, still in a fairly new condition, seemingly only stored in the garage of a Hong Kong magnate who was its first owner, and Phan Cong Khanh didn’t drive it much either.

When it appeared in Vietnam, many people wondered why this middleman imported the racing supercar to the country, and which wealthy tycoon would buy a car just for display. Phan Cong Khanh had hinted about the McLaren Senna GTR’s ownership by an enigmatic tycoon named Jacky.

The racing car McLaren Senna GTR is developed from the street-legal Senna version with only 500 produced vehicles. The car features a more aggressive exterior design, including a large front splitter, large side fins, menacing hood, racing wheels, new rear diffuser, and most importantly, a massive rear wing. The interior of the McLaren Senna GTR follows the true spirit of racing cars with a racing steering wheel.

The McLaren Senna GTR is still equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine, but it has a maximum power output of 814 horsepower, an increase of 25 horsepower compared to the McLaren Senna. Although the power increase is not significant, the sound of the car starting, revving, or accelerating on the race track always makes McLaren Senna owners crave to own a racing version.
