Land Rover claims the Ranger Rover Electric will be the quietest and most refined Range Rover ever created. The new model will be produced in Solihull, United Kingdom, similar to the versions that use internal combustion engines.
The Range Rover Electric is said to have the same power as the V8 engine Range Rover models. Currently, the Range Rover SV with a 4.4L V8 engine produces 606 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque.
The vehicle uses an 800 V electrical system, a technology currently used in the Porsche Taycan sports car as well as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 SUV. Land Rover has not yet disclosed information about the type of battery or the range of the vehicle.
The differences between the Range Rover Electric and the internal combustion engine Range Rover models can be easily noticed, such as the EV logo on the wheels and a more enclosed grille design. The wading depth of this electric SUV has also been announced to be up to 850 mm, which is more than half of a wheel.
It is highly likely that the Range Rover Electric will be officially introduced next year. Currently, in Vietnam, the Range Rover is distributed with 4 versions (SE SWB, Autobiography LWB, Autobiography LWB 7-seater, and SV LWB). The starting price of this top-of-the-line model is 10,109 billion VND.
