Five months ago, entrepreneur Pham Tran Nhat Minh, also known as Minh “Nhua,” organized a celebration dinner to commemorate his wedding day, and the presence of the McLaren Elva sports car brought a lot of excitement to the event. This was the first time this convertible masterpiece appeared on social media.
When the McLaren Elva of Minh “Nhua” made its appearance, it caused quite a stir among the media and on social media. In fact, information about the car was widely circulated for a week. However, no one knows the whereabouts of the McLaren Elva now.
The mysterious disappearance of the McLaren Elva has brought to mind the McLaren Senn GTR imported by Phan Cong Khanh. Its arrival and departure were kept secret, surprising many people and leaving them disappointed. Currently, the race car is kept in the warehouse of a supercar dealer in Germany, waiting for a new owner.
Regarding Minh “Nhua’s” McLaren Elva, this wealthy individual spent a considerable amount of money to bring it to Vietnam. He revealed that he paid $8 million, equivalent to VND 190 billion, which is nearly VND 50 billion more than the official price of the McLaren Elva that Minh “Nhua” announced three years ago, which was only VND 143 billion, including VAT.
With such a large sum of money, it is disappointing that the McLaren Elva has yet to be registered. The owner is not happy at all. This shows that having money to buy a supercar is one thing, but whether that passion can be satisfied by simply driving it around depends on someone else, in this case, the party responsible for importing the car for Minh “Nhua.”
However, rest assured that Minh “Nhua” bought the McLaren Elva from an authorized dealership. Before accepting his son Pham Van Muoi’s order, the distributor must have made plans and obtained a license plate for the customer, which is why they dared to accept such a large sum of money.
Let’s wait and see whether Minh “Nhua’s” McLaren Elva will have its license plate in the second quarter or have to celebrate one year in Vietnam without completing the paperwork.
The McLaren Elva was originally planned to produce 399 units, but this was later reduced by 100 units to only 299, and the British car manufacturer even further reduced it to 149 units.
In addition to its impressive design, without a roof or windshield, the McLaren Elva is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a displacement of 4.0 liters, similar to the McLaren 720S, McLaren 720S Spider, and the hypercar McLaren Senna of Hoang Kim Khanh.
This powerhouse provides a maximum output of 804 horsepower and a peak torque of 800 Nm for the McLaren Elva. The entire power is transmitted to the rear axle through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to that, the McLaren Elva, also known as the “4 no’s” of McLaren, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.
