Just a week ago, information about the first Ferrari 296 GTB supercar arriving in Vietnam was sold by its owner to a dealership, which received a lot of attention from many people. Later, the supercar was transported into Saigon and put up for sale at 23 billion VND.
Currently, it is unclear if anyone has bought this Ferrari 296 GTB supercar yet, but recently, images of the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar appearing in front of the house of Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, also known as Cuong “Dola”, have gained attention from the online community.
Everyone knows that Cuong “Dola” is a die-hard fan of the “prancing horse” brand, as he has experienced dozens of different Ferrari supercars such as the 360 Spider, 430, 458, 488, F12, F8, and most recently the SF90 Spider with a price tag of nearly 55 billion VND.
Therefore, the appearance of the Ferrari 296 GTB supercar in front of the mansion of the mountain street tycoon has excited many people, and some even speculate that Cuong “Dola” will purchase this hybrid car to have a companion for his Ferrari SF90 Spider.
The interesting point of the new Ferrari 296 GTB supercar appearing in front of Cuong “Dola” house comes from the plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.9-liter turbocharged V6 petrol engine. This also marks the return of the V6 engine after five decades, with the internal combustion engine producing a maximum power of 654 horsepower and the electric motor adding an additional 164 horsepower.
The maximum torque figures from the internal combustion and electric motors for the 296 GTB are 425 Nm and 315 Nm respectively. The plug-in hybrid powertrain will provide the Ferrari 296 GTB with 818 horsepower and a maximum torque of 740 Nm.
The Ferrari 296 GTB supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. The plug-in hybrid model can travel a maximum distance of 25 km and reach a maximum speed of 135 km/h using only the electric motor.
