In the context of the SUV craze dominating the global car market, some automakers are determined not to let sedans sink into oblivion. And here is the all-new Kia K4, a compact and modern sedan that is about to be launched to replace the Kia Forte (or also known as the Kia K3).
Korean automaker Kia has recently released the first teaser images for the K4, giving enthusiasts a glimpse of the sporty and youthful design before its official debut on March 21, and its public unveiling at the New York Auto Show on March 27.
Even from the previous prototype images, we can see that Kia’s new sedan will have higher aesthetics than the third-generation Forte, launched in 2018. Key highlights on the exterior include sharp lines on the fenders, a more beautiful LED lighting system that extends to the bumper, and an eye-catching fastback design.
Kia has not yet revealed the technical specifications, but promises that the K4 will set “new standards in design, innovation, and a more exciting driving experience in the small sedan segment.” Kia also hints at “advanced technology,” which could include a modern digital cockpit and advanced driving assistance systems.
Based on the prototype test photos, we can see that the interior of the K4 is quite modern with a large screen that combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with physical buttons below.
Regarding the powertrain options, depending on each market, the 2025 Kia K4 will receive different powertrain options, expected to include a turbocharged 1.6L engine, a naturally aspirated 2.0L engine, and a hybrid powertrain option.
