The Nissan Kicks e-Power is currently the best-selling model of the Nissan brand in the Thai market. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Japanese automaker is putting effort into this compact SUV.
At the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS) 2024 in Thailand, Nissan will unveil a new special edition of the Kicks e-Power called the STAR Edition. Prior to the show, Nissan has released some images and initial information about this model.
Nissan Kicks e-Power has added a new edition with a more impressive exterior.
Based on the high-end VL variant, the Nissan Kicks e-Power STAR Edition features subtle changes in its exterior and interior design. Compared to the regular VL version, this model has some differences such as a black-painted grille and front bumper. Additionally, it comes with new decorative strips and Star Edition decals on the C-pillar. Furthermore, the car also features silver accents as highlights, including a new extended skid plate from the front fender to the taillights, exterior mirror covers, and a roof spoiler.

In terms of safety, the car is equipped with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, automatic headlights, forward collision warning, emergency braking assist, driver attention alert, and a 360-degree camera.
The “heart” of the Nissan Kicks e-Power STAR Edition is its hybrid powertrain, which consists of a 1.2L 3-cylinder gasoline engine that serves as a generator to charge the 2.06 kWh battery pack. The electric motor is responsible for driving the vehicle, producing a maximum power output of 136 horsepower and a peak torque of 280 Nm. As a result, the car has a fuel consumption of 26.3 km/l (about 3.8 liters/100 km) in urban areas and 23.8 km/l (4.2 liters/100 km) in mixed conditions.
The car offers 4 driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, and E-Pedal. Lastly, the e-Pedal Step system helps reduce the vehicle’s speed to 5 km/h when the driver releases the accelerator pedal.
The price of the Nissan Kicks e-Power STAR Edition has not been announced yet. Meanwhile, the price of the Nissan Kicks e-Power in Thailand ranges from 779,900 to 979,900 Baht (approximately 535 to 672 million dong).
