Kawasaki has announced the “Kawasaki Z650 50th Anniversary Edition” to celebrate 50 years of the Z650. This new version of the mid-size naked roadster will come in Firecracker Red paint inspired by the Z-GP models of the 1980s.
The vibrant red paint on the Z650 50th Anniversary is complemented by dark blue and silver accents, while the “Z” emblem and Kawasaki logo are finished in yellow. Other design updates include red wheels with silver stripes, new seat upholstery, and a “Z 50th” anniversary emblem on the front mudguard.
The main changes are focused on the modified paint scheme. On the other hand, the design remains unchanged and this special edition continues to feature a single headlight, sharp bodywork, split-level seat, and low-mounted exhaust. The list of equipment includes LED headlights, LED taillights, and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster.
The specifications also remain unchanged, and the Z650 50th Anniversary Edition still retains its parallel-twin, liquid-cooled 649cc engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the engine produces a maximum power of 67 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 64 Nm at 6,700 rpm.
