Today, on the official fanpage, Kia Vietnam surprised us with a teaser image of the new Seltos. Along with it is the caption: “Get ready for the appearance of the hottest B-SUV this summer“. This means that the upgraded version of the Kia Seltos is finally preparing to launch in Vietnam. According to our sources, the car will be officially introduced in Vietnam in April or early May 2024.

The upgraded Kia Seltos was officially launched in the Korean market in mid-2022. Moving on to the new version, the car has undergone significant changes in its appearance thanks to a new design language.
Most notably is the front of the car with a new grille, headlight cluster, and LED position lights/daytime running lights. Both the LED position lights and the taillights of the car are inspired by star maps. Next are the newly improved alloy wheels and front/rear bumpers, accompanied by new silver accents.

There is currently no specific information about the equipment of the Kia Seltos 2024 in Vietnam. Meanwhile, in other markets, the car features a new curved screen on the dashboard, integrated with a digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touch screen. In addition, it comes with a panoramic sunroof, interior ambient lighting, and a new wireless phone charger.

Furthermore, the car also has leather and fabric seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, head-up display, electric parking brake, and auto hold function.

Similarly to the convenience features, the safety features of the Kia Seltos 2024 have also been significantly upgraded. This B-segment SUV now has active safety features such as intelligent cruise control with Stop & Go function, front collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, parking distance warning, blind-spot collision avoidance, and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance when reversing.

It is not clear whether the new Kia Seltos in Vietnam will have a change in the engine or not. However, it would not be surprising if this model retains the same engine. In Vietnam, the Kia Seltos currently has two engine options with a displacement of 1.6L and 1.4L. The 1.6L engine is naturally aspirated, providing a maximum power of 121 horsepower and a maximum torque of 151 Nm. The corresponding figures for the turbocharged 1.4L engine are 138 horsepower and 242 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
