Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu buys back his “old buddy” Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano after 3 years apart

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar has spent quite some time residing in the "Qua" Vu's supercar garage. However, when he sold off a considerable number of supercars in 2020, the one-of-a-kind stallion in Vietnam at that time was also liquidated. After 3 years, the warrior horse returned to this collector's collection.

Entrepreneur Dang Le Nguyen Vu has recently increased his collection of Ferrari supercars to 24 with the purchase of a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. Interestingly, this supercar used to be owned by “Qua” Vu before it was sold.

Specifically, the story took place in January 2021, when the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano was spotted at a supercar showroom in Saigon. It is known that in 2020 and 2021, Dang Le Nguyen Vu sold quite a few supercars, and the unique horse in Vietnam at that time was also put up for auction. After 3 years, the racing horse came back to this collection.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar was previously offered for more than 8 billion VND (around $350,000) 2 years ago, but no one bought it. Until now, a broker has sold it back to “Qua” Vu at an undisclosed price. The original car was red, but the previous owner, Dang Le Nguyen Vu, repainted it white. After that, the third owner of the car repainted it red again.

The newly repurchased Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar was imported to Vietnam in August 2009, which means it has been 15 years. The car has only gone through 3 owners: the first owner was in Hanoi, then Vu bought it back before selling it to a car showroom in Saigon in 2021. Half a year later, it was sold back to “Qua” Vu last week.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar is the predecessor of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. There are at least 6 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta models in Vietnam, and Vu owns at least 2 of them. This racing horse made its debut at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show and was the most powerful Ferrari at the time of its launch.

The design of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar is unique with a long front and a short rear. It features beautiful headlights and is one of the most impressive “eyes” to this day. “GTB” stands for GranTurismo Berlinetta, meaning it is a Grand Tourer model with the design of a two-door coupe.

The rear design of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar is quite seductive. The appearance of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is the result of a collaboration between the Italian supercar manufacturer and Pininfarina, the renowned car designer who is currently a partner of the Vietnamese automaker Vinfast. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano supercar still retains the original standard wheels when it arrived in Vietnam, with silver-colored dual-spoke wheels.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano uses a 6.0-liter V12 engine, producing a maximum power of 612 horsepower and a maximum torque of 608 Nm. With a 6-speed gearbox, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano takes about 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h before reaching a top speed of 330 km/h. This supercar is equipped with a Frequency Intelligent Exhaust (FI), worth hundreds of millions of VND, for an exhilarating sound.
