Suzuki Burgman Street 125, a once-promising name in the Vietnamese motorcycle market, is currently facing significant challenges as it struggles with slow sales and the risk of increasing inventory.

Despite continuous efforts from importers and distributors, this model still struggles to attract consumer attention.

This is partly due to the unremarkable design and lack of impressive features to compete with segment rivals.

To address the situation, Suzuki Vietnam and its dealers are implementing strong discounts, even “great price reductions” for the Burgman Street 125 to stimulate demand and reduce inventory.

The discount amount is up to 19.7 million VND at some dealerships, reducing the price of the vehicle to 28.9 million VND, a figure never seen before since this model was introduced to the Vietnamese market.

Although it underwent a recall in 2022 due to issues related to the fuel tank and rear mudguard, Suzuki Burgman Street 125 still hopes to attract buyers with an attractive price and aims to make a breakthrough in sales.

The Burgman Street 125 is equipped with the new generation SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) 125cc engine, SOHC, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and single-cylinder with electronic fuel injection. It has a maximum power of 8.5 horsepower at 6,750 rpm and a CVT transmission. The fuel tank capacity is 5.5 liters.

Prior to entering the Vietnamese market, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 was highly popular in the Indian and Philippine markets. However, it is regrettable that the Burgman Street 125 in the Vietnamese market does not have an integrated engine cutoff switch and a start button like in India.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is only equipped with basic CBS brakes and it doesn’t even have a smartkey. Furthermore, compared to the Indian and Philippine markets, the selling price of the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 in Vietnam is nearly double.
