As the Official Sponsor, Lexus Vietnam continues to accompany the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) for the Lexus Challenge 2024 professional golf tournament. Being the first tournament sponsored by the Vietnam Professional Golf System (VGA Tour) and the Asia Development Tour (ADT), the Lexus Challenge took place from March 13th to 15th, 2024 at The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram, Vung Tau.
In addition, Lexus Challenge 2024 also marked the first time a Vietnamese professional golf tournament awarded a prize money amounting to $85,000 (about 2.1 billion VND) for male golfers, in which the Champion Ahmad Baig received the largest prize worth $14,875. The Pakistani golfer also made history in the Lexus Challenge 2024 as the first athlete to have 07 birdies in the Final Round, and also marked the first international professional golf title for a golfer born in 1998.
Only 2 Vietnamese athletes competed in the final round, Nguyen Anh Minh and Truong Chi Quan, who gave their all in the Lexus Challenge 2024. Notably, amateur athlete Nguyen Anh Minh achieved the best performance in the tournament and was awarded the Best Amateur Athlete, which aims to encourage and motivate Anh Minh to further develop and mature. After 3 days of competition, Nguyen Anh Minh ranked T18 with a total score of (+1). Truong Chi Quan ranked T36 with a score of (+7).
