First previewed by the QX Monograph concept last year, the new generation 2025 Infiniti QX80 is a large luxury SUV with 3 rows of seats, competing with models like the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Lexus LX, and BMW X7.

In terms of design, the QX80 looks similar to the QX Monograph and still retains the distinctive features of the concept model, such as the long hood, large trapezoidal grille, piano-type LED daytime running lights, low-set LED headlights, illuminated front logo, and full-width taillights with a segmented design consisting of over 300 LED bulbs.

The Infiniti QX80 2025 large SUV has a length of 5,364 mm, a width of 2,116 mm, a height of 1,946-1,979 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,073 mm. Infiniti will not offer a two-row version of the QX80, and all available variants will have three rows of seats in a 2-2-3 layout. The company also added that the SUV will be available in 7 exterior colors, including the new Dynamic Metal option.

Inside the cabin, the new QX80 features the Infiniti InTouch system comprised of a digital instrument cluster and a center touchscreen infotainment display. Both screens measure 14.3 inches. The car is equipped with an expanded interior ambient lighting system.

In addition, the vehicle has a 9-inch touchscreen below the center air vent to control all air conditioning and convenience functions as well as select driving modes. Infiniti emphasizes that unlike some competing models, all seats in the QX80 provide first-class comfort.

For the first time in the history of this model, heated seats are now available for all rows and massage seats are provided for the second and front rows.

In addition, there is a feature called Biometric Cooling that uses infrared sensors to detect when passengers are hot and automatically adjusts the temperature and air flow in the second-row seats, providing the most comfortable temperature for passengers.

Other available features on the car include the Head-Up Display (HUD), which is a first for the QX80, along with USB-C ports for each row (a total of 8 ports), a cooled box in the center console, and a Klipsch audio system with 14 or 24 speakers. Additionally, the QX80 also features the Front Wide View system, which uses camera information to provide a wide view on both 14.3-inch screens.

Another smart feature is the Invisible Hood View, which takes footage from the external cameras of the car and projects it onto the in-car screen, allowing the driver to easily see what’s in front of the vehicle or “see through the engine compartment”. Other camera-related assist systems include a 3D surround view monitor and a digital rearview mirror.

As expected of a luxury SUV, there are many premium materials used in the car. Infiniti states that the cabin space is inspired by Japanese culture and the miyabi principle originated from Kyoto’s traditional craft culture. Improvements in soundproofing also make the QX80 up to 4 decibels quieter than the previous generation.

In terms of practicality, Infiniti claims that the luggage space has been increased in the new QX80 but does not provide specific information. The company only revealed that the cargo space behind the second-row seats increased by 18% compared to the previous model, and the space behind the third-row seats increased by 30%.

In addition, the air suspension system can lower the SUV by 71mm when parked to facilitate loading combined with the hands-free power tailgate.

As for the powertrain, the 2025 QX80 is equipped with a standard twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 gasoline engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine has a power output of 450 horsepower and a torque of 700 Nm, which is 50 horsepower and 140 Nm higher than the second-generation QX80 with a naturally aspirated 5.6L V8 engine.

In the U.S. market, the 2025 QX80 is available in Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph versions with prices ranging from $82,450 to $110,595.
